Ovulation Test

Planning pregnancy?   Discover your most fertile period with over 99.9% accuracy!

When is your moment?

Shortly before ovulation, there is a sudden and sharp rise in luteinizing hormone (LH) in the urine. The Advent Life ovulation test detects this LH peak, which is a clear signal that ovulation is likely to occur in the next 24-36 hours. The probability of conception is highest precisely during this fertile period.

How to use

You can get tested at any time of the day.

Step 1

Determine which day of your cycle to start testing using the chart:

Cycle-table_2.png

Step 2

Collect urine at the same time each day, avoiding the first morning urine. The best time to test is between 10:00 and 20:00. Limit fluid intake for 2 hours before testing.

Step 3

Dip the test strip vertically into the sample for at least 10-15 seconds. Be careful not to dip above the maximum line (MAX).

Step 4

Place the strip on a flat surface and start the timer. Read the result after 5 minutes, but no later than 10 minutes.

Important Questions

When is the LH surge most likely to occur?

About 90% of women with regular cycles who are ovulating will experience their LH surge within 8–10 days of testing. The hLH surge and ovulation may not occur in all menstrual cycles.

Can the test be used for contraception?

No. The test should not be used as a method of birth control. Sperm can survive for up to 72 hours, while the test only predicts the surge 24 to 36 hours in advance.

What can affect the result?

Medications containing hCG or hLH, pregnancy, recent pregnancy, or menopause. Consult a doctor if you are taking hormonal medications.

How sensitive is the Advent Life Ovulation Test?

The Advent Life Ovulation Test detects human luteinizing hormone (hLH) in urine at concentrations of 30 mIU/mL or higher.
